Our bull terrier dogs are treated as part of the family.  In turn they have the run of the compound, free to enter the house and having their preferred chair to take a nap when exhausted. Apart from being fed with top quality dog food, they also get a prime bone from time to time. The bull terriers are well mannered and love to interact with visitors and are extremely fond of children.
